I think the crucial point is that business leaders do actually speak together quite often. There
are bodies that represent them, both international ones and national ones that as it were their
voice on policy. They should really be thinking, "well how is what we are saying going to be
perceived in relationship to other people's view of the national interest? Do we come over as a
purely sectional interest for, let's be blunt, the wealthy and powerful or do we give the
impression that we are taking into account the great global challenges, climate change and
also these very profound tensions that have emerged about the evolution of the market
economy."
